Writer's Block: Put it all together, it spells Mother
What's the most important lesson your mom taught you?

Hmmm. Mum taught me two important lessons. XD (But I've never knew my dad, so my mum has been a constant figure in my life. <3 She taught me a lot, but these are the most important to me.)

The first one is honesty. She's always honest and upfront with me, and everyone else... mostly. When I was young, my mum was a stripper... and I knew that, because she told me and... yada yada, more examples. XD I like being honest, and since my mum's current asshole of a boyfriend is practically a compulsive liar, I value honesty even more now.

The second one is money, and budgeting, etc. When I was young, I was spoilt and entitled, and at one point, suicidally depressed, but that's not this story. Whenever I asked begged/annoyed mum for something to buy, she replied with "this is how much I have, and this needs to go on this bill, that much on that bill. After I've paid the bills, we'll see how much I can spend on other things." Something like that. Plus, she also taught me to budget pretty well too. XD I'm always doing calculations in my head of how much I have, how much I've saved, and what I potentially can spend it on. *shrugs*

Those are both good lessons to learn, especially from a parent.

My mother and I don't have the best relationship - as in I don't like her at all. My grandma raised me, and I kinda got the same lessons from her.

For me, the most important lesson she taught me was to always go after what I wanted. I'm shy and reserved, so it's really hard for me to put myself out there, but she always told me I was capable of getting what I wanted, if I was willing to work on it.

Yeah, my mum is kinda awesome. XD Though she has the worst taste in men... :/

Sweet~ <3 I got that to... 'cuz with us, we're not really rolling in money, so mum just went "be patient, save up, and if you really want it, get it. Just be patient." Paraphrased. XD Although I wish I have the motivation and drive mum has...
